Providing Online Support During Covid Pandemic Crisis

In March 2020, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization, I am currently also offering video sessions due to Covid 19 to ensure the safety of everyone.

The Benefits of On-line counselling:

I provide remote therapy session via a secure platform.  If you work nonstandard hours or have a busy family life or live out of the area, you can access counselling from anywhere from the privacy of your home or workplace.  It eliminates travel time and can fit in between other meetings and commitments.  A study by Mental Health Commission of Canada (https://mentalhealthcommission.ca/what-we-do/e-mental-health) shows on line counselling can be as effective as traditional in-person counselling.

Note: Psychotherapy is not covered by your Ontario health card (OHIP), however may be covered by private health insurance/benefits. I do not offer direct billing to insurance companies. I encourage you to check with your insurance provider to ensure that you have coverage for a Registered Social Worker/psychotherapist (MSW/RSW) for psychotherapy services.  Any fees that are not covered by your health insurance can be applied to your income tax, as services provided by a Registered Social Worker is also considered a medical expense tax credit for income tax purposes. I accept e-transfers and after every session, I will send you an invoice that can be forwarded to your insurance company.

Cancellation Policy

All sessions must be cancelled at least 24-hours prior to the session to avoid any cancellation fees. If a session is not cancelled with notice, the full session fee may be charged for the missed session.
